Mudjacking vs. Foam Jacking

When you are dealing with cracked and settling concrete, there are typically two ways to lift and repair the problem. Mudjacking and polyurethane concrete lifting methods achieve similar results, however, the process and cost of the two products varies. Mudjacking, also known as slabjacking, lifts a slab back to its original position by pumping a mixture of sand, cement, fly ash, and other additives into strategically placed holes.

Polyurethane foam is an environmentally friendly two part mixture that is injected through penny size holes drilled in the affected area. Although mudjacking is a common concrete lifting method, polyurethane foam is a cost-effective, expedient and less disruptive alternative.

There are many advantages to foam jacking as compared to other methods of concrete repair, such as slab jacking, grinding and replacement.
